Island Village is a covenant restricted community of 32 homes located along Village Lane which is a self enclosed cul de sac, nestled next to a picturesque pond, in a private and quiet neighborhood. Our community is on historic Amelia Island adjacent to the town of Fernandina Beach, Florida. Island Village is a short walk to pristine miles of beach along the Atlantic Ocean, and a nature preserve, Egan’s Green, which offers great walking trails and viewing of the natural flora and fauna of the Island. You can walk to the hospital, schools and a wonderful YMCA. The historic downtown with it’s many fine shops, historic buildings, (many from the 1800’s), great restaurants and a beautiful renovated Marina is 10 minutes away by car. Yes, we are lucky to be living on this wonderful Island and in a such a welcoming community.
The homes have a unique architecture. Island Village was designed with a Folk Victorian look, consistent with the history and old homes in Fernandina Beach. The homes were built with a pyramidal roof; decorative gingerbread style brackets on porches; trellises that frame walkways; and front elevations give Village Lane a quaint and unique look on the island.
